There have been 3 courthouses in Burnet, one in 1854 that burned another in 1874 and the current building. Built in 1937 with locally quarried granite, and expanded in 1974 with design by the same firm. Designed by Willis Environmental Engineering in Marble Falls, in Modern architectural style.
